Leticia Alaniz Cano was born in Allende, Nuevo Leon, Mexico on November30th, to Paulino Alaniz Cavazos and Maria Elba Cano Cano. She is thefourth of six children. She is dedicated to the performing and visualarts. Her acting career began in Mexico, performing for her schooldrama department as well as the local professional theater.
Leticiaaspired to be an actress and decided to learn the craft at the AdamRoarke Film Acting School. She was coached for television and film bythe late Adam Roarke for a period of four years. She worked alongside Adelina Anthony and Marisela Barrera for the Cara Mia Theatre Companybased in Dallas, Texas. Her debut for television was on the series "Walker Texas Ranger" (1996) , produced by Amadea Film Productions. Her first job on a film was as the stand-in for Rene Zellweger on The Whole Wide World (1996) , directed by Dan Ireland.
Leticia'sfirst interest was Journalism which she pursued as a career at theUniversity of Campeche in México. She then decided to pursue a careerin film which led her to eventually study a masters degree at theUniversity of Texas in Austin. Leticia also writes scripts and works asa still photographer on films. Her visual art has won her numerousawards and has been published as well as displayed in several artexhibits. .
