Mariel Aragon was born in Puerto Rico. The only daughter of Mila Aragon,a former theatre and Las Vegas dancer of Filipina descent, andChinese-American mortuary owner Morris Yick, Mariel has an IQ of 180and first began taking courses at the University of Southern Californiaas a pre-law, pre-med student at age eleven after taking universitycourses at John Hopkins University in Washington, D. C. Moreover, Aragonnot only speaks English, French, Spanish, Tagalog, Chinese, andJapanese, but also plays the piano, sings, and can read about 5,000words per minute.

Prior to going to college, Mariel attended nurseryschool, kindergarten, and elementary school, although she was able toskip grades four, six, and eight.
