A beautiful and durable actress of screen, stage and television. Sheplayed the bride of 'Laurence Olivier' 's title character in HenryV (1944)( The Chronicle History of King Henry the Fift with His Battell Fought at Agincourt in France (1944) ). She later appeared in Once a Jolly Swagman (1949) , a speedwaydrama with 'Dirk Bogarde' . A frequent co-star of the actor'Robert Donat' , whom she married in 1953.

The couple separated in1956, but were due to reconcile at the time of his untimely death inLondon on 9th June 1958, aged 53. .
