  • Suffered an embarrassing accident during a 1949 stage performance of "Ann Veronica" at the London Piccadilly Theatre: after losing balance, the tandem bicycle ridden by her and fellow-actress Alexis Frances, went off stage and crashed into the orchestra pit.
