Was born at 22 March 1933 (now is 85 years old) in Lidingö, Stockholms län, Sweden

She was only 18 years old and working as a photographer's assistant inStockholm when two Italians showed up. Producer 'Carlo Ponti' anddirector 'Mario Soldati' were there to see pictures of beautifulmodels, searching for a blonde girl for a movie. They picked herinstead and soon she found herself in Rome. She quickly made a numberof movies, almost all of them forgotten, where all she had to do waslook beautiful.

She was offered a contract with 20th Century Fox andcame to Hollywood, where her part in The Blue Angel (1959) gotpretty good reviews. But she got tired of always playing the femme fatale and after marrying'Sammy Davis Jr. (I)' she left the movies to take care of herchildren instead. .

There is some small facts about May Britt:
  • Was considered for the leading female role in the 'Elvis Presley' picture G.I. Blues (1960) , but the role was eventually played by 'Juliet Prowse' .
  • May Britt has some thoroughbred horse connections. In 1958 she was briefly married to actor and future horse-trainer 'Edwin Gregson' , trainer of 1982 Kentucky Derby winner Gato Del Sol. Since 1993 she has been married to Lennart Ringqust, who was the second husband of 'Penny Chenery' , the owner of 'Secretariat (I)' .
  • Mother, with 'Sammy Davis Jr. (I)' , of daughter 'Tracey Davis (IV)' .
  • Grandmother of 'Sam Garner (VIII)' , and 'Montana Garner' .
