Brenda Brkusic is an Emmy Award®-winning television producer and aseasoned television executive with over 10 years of experience inprogram development and production. As the Executive Producer ofProgram Development and National Productions for PBS SoCaL, Brenda isresponsible for the development, production, distribution and marketingof high quality programs and series for national broadcast on publictelevision. Prior to her current role, Brenda spearheaded and managed anew digital TV channel for the station and she was the driving forcebehind the acquisition of thousands of programs and series. UnderBrenda's direction the channel was called "The Next generation of PBS"by the Corporation for Public Broadcasting and received CPB's"Education Innovation Award".
Early in her career she was a producerfor PBS SoCaL's Emmy Award®-winning nightly news program. As afilmmaker she has been recognized on the Congressional Record of the USHouse of Representatives for her work promoting human rights throughfilm and she has been invited to the European Union in Brussels topresent her work to members of the European Parliament at theInternational Leader's Summit. Among her dozens of awards and honors,in 2008 and 2011, OC Metro Business Magazine named Brenda Brkusic oneof the 40 Most Successful Young Entrepreneurs and Executives and one ofthe 20 Most Dynamic Women To Watch. She has won four Emmy® Awards, twoCINE Golden Eagle Awards, three Telly Awards and a NationalEntertainment Journalism Award.
