Foxy Brown, a Brooklyn native, never thought she would be in the rapindustry, much less in films. Even though she received a lot ofskepticism from critics because of her raunchy lyrics and sexual appealin music videos, Foxy still managed to stay on top. With a platinumalbum under her belt, and literally tens of appearances on other songs,her movie debut was much expected. .

  • Nominated for two Soul Train Lady Of Soul Awards in 1997
  • Released her second album "Chyna Doll" in October 1998. She also has a debut video "Hot Spot"
  • Her father is from the 2-island Caribbean nation of Trinidad and Tobago.
  • When her 1999 album "Chyna Doll" debuted at #1 on the Billboard 200, she became the first female rap artist ever to accomplish that feat.
  • Attended Brooklyn College Academy High School in Brooklyn, New York.

  • Jay-Z signed her to Roc A Fella Records in 2004.

  • (May 2008) Released her fourth studio album, 'Brooklyn's Don Diva' on May 13th (US). This album reintroduces Foxy to the music scene after a seven-year hiatus.
  • (December 2005) Foxy Brown proclaimed that she hasn't been able to hear for six months.
  • (February 2007) Performed with Nas in New York City for his Hip-Hop is Dead tour. By sharing the stage with Nas, and his brother Jungle, they held somewhat of a the Firm Re-Union Concert.
  • (July 2001) Releasing Third album titled "Broken Silence" on July 17th
